This course will introduce you to the study of humankind's most important creation- the social group.Furthermore, it examines the influence of social relationships on people's attitudes and behavior. Topics include: social structures (groups, communities, organizations), social categories (age, sex, class, race, etc.), and social institutions (politics, education, etc.). The course also focuses on specific problems such as crime, divorce, child abuse, and substance addiction.
